About us
Mac is the friendly and enigmatic driving force behind the company. From a young age he was brought up on a small farm fascinated by the plant biology within the extensive gardens of his home. He trained as a professional horticulturist obtaining a BSc in horticulture and plant biology, plus a certificate in landscape design in 2004.
Expertise and experience
Mac has developed his skills locally with well renowned landscape designers and gardeners such as Peter Dowle (Ross on Wye), Andrew Price (Cardiff) and his own freelance consultant experience (Cardiff) .His sound knowledge of garden husbandry, plants and people have allowed seamless management of teams to design, deliver and maintain bespoke up market garden design solutions in and around South Wales ensuring long term customer satisfaction.
Achievements
His technical expertise are evidenced from the medals achieved at Chelsea and also by the upmarket garden designs of his client base. Highlights include (one of the main team leader) at the 2008 RHS Chelsea flower show – RHS Show Chelsea 2008 – ‘The Sky at night’ Garden designed by Barry Mayled (Gold Medal Award). RHS Show Chelsea 2006 –member of the planting team for Chris Beardshaw’s Show Garden based on a Thomas Mawson & Gertrude Jekyll design (Gold Medal and People’s Award) RHS Show Chelsea 2005 – member of the team at The Ecover Chelsea Pensioners’ Garden designed by Julian Dowle (Gold Medal, Best in Show and the People’s Award).
